Common to agricultural vocation with particular attention to the cultivation of the olive tree and the chestnut tree. Consequence of these, is developed in fondovalle frantoi and the flour mills. Today, beyond to an handicraft and industrial zone to border with the common ones of Massarosa and Viareggio, than in the optimal times it has seen a great development, the economy has like carrying element the tourism, particularly legacy to the sea.
